I said it appears to be like wood. I am not sure. It's a really
thick plate (about an inch) and it's light coloured.

I'll make sure I know what it's made of if I ever get a chance
to *safely* lie under the car, which I haven't yet because I
don't have a closed garage. There are some numbers under the
car I'd like to copy on paper too (gearbox, differential, etc)
