Hi folks.
Living way up here in Vancouver,British Columbia, I had got the
chance to attend my first british car meet. It was held this past
weekend at the Van Dusen Botanical Gardens - a beautiful backdrop for
a collection of just over 400 marvellous cars.
The weatherman called for showers, but MOWOG smiled and the sun shone
through for four or five hours.
In the spridget category there were two bugeyes, two sprites and
three midgets - all looking impeccably cared for.
I must have spent an hour staring at the bugeyes; it's official
- I want one. I can't afford one, but what the hell - you only go
around once, right?
Anyway, I walked away wanting a bugeye and the girlfriend walked away
wanting me to want an MGA. I guess I could do worse - she could have
fallen in love with M**ta I parked beside in the lot.
So the search begins for a bugeye project (and a place to do the
work!).
Anyway, just thought I'd share my good mood.
