I also have the kit from mini-mania if you have access to the steel and 
a welder you could probably duplicate for about $20 for the material. 
The kit does not include any way of latching the bonnet so you will have 
to devise some way of doing so. Either straps or bungies at the back or 
fitting some kind of latches. I am toying with the idea of spitfire type 
latches mounted on the inner footwell I just need to find a spitfire 
abandoned in a parking lot..
