On a '61 Bug Eye I was looking at,I found a racing style pin with cotter 
pin arrangement on the original rear hinges. I was wondering how to make 
this work, and the tilt front was a great idea.
Not sure if it would be a clean enough idea, as you'd have to drill hole 
in the bonnet for it, but it could work and look okay.
