Rotate the motor, watch for correct rotation, then look for the point
where the Rotor would FIRST make contact
the "button/contact" inside the distibutor cap. That should be where you
want to set it.
You know you could use a timing light, and if the Timing chain, and
ignition timing are right, you should be able to start up with a shot of
ether. Mine started with one carb not working , and the other one barely
working.
