I need some clarification. I understand what a PCV valve does, but the term
oil separator keeps coming up.

What is an "oil separator"

what is the 3/4" diameter pipe turned downward on the front lifter cover on
my 10CG motor?

and no, I don't have a PCV valve on my motor, an question why I should.
