Sometimes the accelerator rod in the driver's footwell gets gunky inside the 
supports it runs through--not sure this is your problem but sometimes mine 
needs a shot of WD40 or White Lithium spray grease.  If it doesnt get it, the 
throttle sticks at high rpms.
