ok-ok-ok! yes you can polish the beams on the rods before you get them
balanced.  it will help a little bit towards the end result of more
power(tim allen line).  be carefull not to take any off at end bolt aereas!
this will only weaken them.  you need to aproach this very carefully.
cleaning up the casting is the name of the game here not removing lots of
metal untill a mirror perfect surface is achieved.
