What did I learn today in my front yard? I learned that when you have
removed everything from your rear axle and start to clean it with a
wire brush, that it is only a matter of time before those little metal
brake adjust things fall out. Lost three in the grass. Found all three
but the one I had stepped on about 100 times was really buried and hard
to find. Lesson learned.

I have a question about an oil leak. My 77 Midget has rostyle wheels and
where the lugs are attached it looks like there is a cover on the axle
or wheel bearing. This cover is held in place by only one screw. Looks
like there is a gasket between the axle and the cover thing. The lugs
pass thur this cover thing. This gasket is what is leaking. The other
side is sealed up tight with some of the RTV blue goo. I was thinking
of doing the same thing to the leaking side, with a paper gasket that I
can make out of gasket material. Is this a good idea or a bad idea. And
why only one screw?
