Ditto what Bod said... I did my first Bugeye in lacquer circa 1969. I
looked fantastic when it was first done but in a couple years it looked
worse than the original paint did after 8 years. I had spiderweb cracks
from every stress point on the body. This allowed moisture to get under the
paint and begin the rust process from under the paint. This mistake was
compounded by stripping all the original paint first.
