I have always used a pitcher of warm water to clear the windscreen on
those cold winter mornings. Just run the tap till it gets warm to the
touch and pour on the windscreen. Usually helps to run the wipers
otherwise it might freeze, depending on the temp. Running the tube around
the radiator hoses and then back to the windscreen, if its cold enough to
crack the windscreen, it should be cold enough to cool the fluid down
before it gets there.
