Your just plain going to the wrong sears store.  Where I live, they REPLACE any 
non
electric tool on the spot, Torque wrenches for a year. (You have to keep torque
wrench receipts)  Next time you break a sears ratchet, send it to me and I'll 
get it
replaced pronto.
