I would dump the 1500 and go for a 1275/Datsun 5 speed.
The A series engine bolts right in. They modified the car to accept the
triumph engine. You will need the A series engine mounts (complete with
metal brackets)
If you use the 5 speed, you will NOT have to cut an access hole for the
starter bolt or slave. If you use a ribcase, you will have to make a
small hole in the right inboard footwell to acess the clutch bleeder and
top starter bolt.
