Chris, All of the rebuilt ribcase transmissions I have seen in the past few
years were junk. Not that all ribcase trans are, but if you pay $600 for
one, you may not be happy. You can do the 5-speed conversion for not that
much more money and a lot cheaper than the $1200 ribcase trannys I've seen.
I'm using a 5-speed and Rivergate kit with the Datsun clutch in my bug-i

conversion, both kits have their advantages. Also both Paul and Bill
