Hi All,
Interesting bit on the engine colors. I just got through looking at
Horlers book and it looks like all 948 and 1098 engines were painted the
green that is the same as Morris engines. With the exception of the 12V,
1275 engines were all the "Healey Green" type of color, which is sort of a
metallic green. The 12V 's were all painted black.
So it looks like there were at least three colors of engines in the
Spridget group. The early green color I stock in spray cans in Enamel.
There was a variation in this color as I suspect that they mixed it in 55
gallon drums, first thing Monday Morning and they really were not into
accurate measurements or they couldn't read the formula that early in the
week!

Bill Hirsh has excellant engine enamels. Either by the spray bomb or
quarts.
I've bought quarts to spray the big items, then use a brush for touch up.
Flows really well with minimum brush marks. Try a foam brush.
