It would be really hard to tell how much modification might have been
done without seeing the car. Since I'm familiar with Volvo engines, and
trannies, I would suspect  that some  modifications to the sheet metal
had to be done to accomodate for it. They probably had to weld up some
new engine mounts too. Check the heater box to see  if they cut that out
to accomodate for the longer block, and also check the tranny tunnel,
since  I suspect that  would have needed to be widened.
