This has everything to do with the way the engine is set up and especially
the rams. Pipercross do a full radius ram for a 40 DCOE which while
admittedly is not as good as the TWM or ITG ram will make a BIG DIFFERENCE to
the bottom end torque of the engine. If the engine is a 1275 something must
be seriously amiss if you can't get it to run on much, much bigger chokes.
Dark brown to black is ok - I think you will find the black is when you are
tootleing along ready to park up.
