The '67 I am working on, and have been for quite a long time, sounds much 
like the car you are describing.  One thing is for sure. . .not being able to 
weld is not a problem.  By the time you get into a large scale restoration 
that will take care of itself.  LOL  I bought a fairly inexpensive MIG and 
have been learning as I go.    It is a BIG job to replace so many panels.  
But on the other hand there is a lot of satisfaction out of seeing it slowly 
come together, plus I have learned a lot about my car that I wouldn't have 
learned otherwise.

BTW, where are you?
