Where's Reverse?

OK so this may be the dumb question of the night but
Bugsy went for his first ride this evening. I finally
got my clutch problems sorted out(there is a definite
difference in how the clutch works when you use the
correct rod/pin in the slave cylinder)and started up
Bugsy to take him for his first ride. Tried to locate
reverse all over the H Pattern but I'll be darned if I
can tell where reverse is located. I thought it was up
and to the left but shift lever won't go there.

IS there aspecial way the mounting plate for the shift
lever needs to be mounted. It appears that there is
only one way to install and have all of the holes line
up properly.

Finally pushed car out of garage by hand. First gear
really and I mean really noisy. Sounds like no fluid
in the tranny which wouldn't surprise me so based upon
the way the P.O. put Bugsy back together after an
engine swap.Lots of fluid / oil? all over the tranny
close to where clutch arm goes into side of
bellhousing. What is there to leak /tighten up to
solve leak problem. No clue where its coming from if
indeed it is leaking.

Frank C. when I originally querried the list about a
leaking rear seal I was advised to make sure PCV Valve
on this '66 1098 engine was connected properly. Engine
was truly leaking like a sieve. Connecting and adding
PCV valve seems to have almost totally cured the oil
leakin. Must be something about having a true vacumn
in the crankcase.

New brakes spongy. More bleeding is needed. Engine is
weak with little power period. Now that I've got Bugsy
moving on his own I can take him to get his SU's
synched up and tuned properly. Other than that great
fun zooming, no make that slowly creeping around the
neighborhood around in 38 degree weather. Thanks in
advance for answering my dumb quesiton of the day.
