Robert,

Check with your local animal control people.  They sometimes have live traps
that you can borrow to trap nuisance animals - usually opossums, raccoons,
etc., but they work just fine for cats too.  I agree with you - I don't
appreciate stray animals on my property, but I don't want to hurt them
either.  Heck, around here we even live trap mice that get in the house and
release them in a nearby park <g>.  Don't tell Brad - lol.
