I have, too, and on the race track. First sign was the rear end let
loose as the oil got onto the rear tire. It was then I noticed the gauge
read no oil pressure and my heart skipped a couple of beats as I thought
I had ruined my engine. Fortunately it was just the plastic (nylon?) oil
pressure line that had split That's when I went to the copper pipe. I
later went to the braided steel when I found it was available.
Vibrations are pretty intense in the racecar and I hate like hell not to
finish a race!
