I believe that Los Angeles is a similar situation. As someone once put it,
where else can you drive along for miles four abreast at 75 miles an hour and
within 3 car lengths of the car in front or you without losing your nerve. I
still believe Southern California drivers are among the best.
I chose Minneapolis and Memphis as the worst because of their refusal to use
turn signals, bad manners, stupidity, and in the case of Minneapolis to
respond to someone who does use a turn signal by rushing up to fill the
opening before he has made the indicated lane change. It took some doing,
but I finally got to where I remembered not to use them at all when I was on
the freeway in Minneapolis.
