Well luck continues to hold. First the monsoon tranny swap, now when I
am getting ready for a Tuesday inspection appointment I start fiddling
around with all the little things that get neglected over the course of
a year. You know, like one BU light not working (disconnected in boot),
one license plate lamp not working (same solution) one bad ground in
headlamp (clean bullet connector), Adjust brakes and parking brake
(well that gets done a bit more often ;-). Well one of the adjusters
was a bit rounded off from a go with a vise grip a while back. (Not ME
I swear!!!) so I decide to go ahead and put the new adjusters, that I
have had for nearly a year, in.
Well Come to find out that the reason the parking brake won't tighten
up real good is because the brake shoes are nearly to the rivets, not
quite, but no doubt it won't pass an inspection this way, nor do I want
to drive it to Stowe that way. Well, guess what, it's Sunday, not a
local parts store will have something like that for a Midget. Nope none
of the local ones do.
Want a good joke?? Moss can't deliver before Tuesday. HA HA HA. Well I
get them to send them and I will have to reschedule the insppection.
BTW Kevin V had a decent set he was willing to part with, but he would
have to meet me in Allentown near midnight. So I just called the whole
thing off and ordered the set from Moss.
Well I guess it is one more thing that I am glad got found here instead
of along the highway betwixt here and Stowe ;-)
