DuPont ChromaBase 5580K
Car: FORD
Code: 1G
Year: 1974
Color: SILVER
That's a match for the silver. I used black etching primer for the
black inserts, taped it off, and then sprayed the silver. Clear coat on
top of everything. I got a very pretty set of wheels, but doubt they'll
stay that way for long.
It'd be much cheaper to just buy the Moss spray can. I know, I didn't
want to do it either, but I'll do it on the next set of wheels I paint.
Between sandblasting ($50) and materials, I almost spent $250 just
painting the wheels. That's not counting the HVLP gun, hoses, and other
equipment I figure will be used on many projects.
