Unfortunately you can't simply spend the money and end up with one... they
take many years of work to assemble for one man.... however there are a
couple of guys out there running bugeye's now and they have the ability to
knock off a body for you.... after that the chassis can range from 5k if you
do everything or 30 if you have it done for you...

The one I bought was a bit cheaper... and saved me quite a bit on the cost
of building one... which I was fixing to do... I'd priced out two quality
chassis builders and saved money up front...

The engine's will scare you.... my 299 cubic inch motor is absolutely out of
hand... it makes 610hp at the crank without Nitrous... and well over 850 on
the bottle... you can double the car cost for a single engine... it's taken
7 engines to get in the Two club... most of them costing less then 10k The
one in the " who's is this " picture is worth about 40k used... OUCH...
fella could have a nice retirement account if he wasn't racing.... LOL but
what good are dreams if you can't chase them...

What has amazed me is the learning curve required... it all sounds so
simple... build a car.. then a motor... and go racing.... This all from a
fireside conversation at a Healey Christmas party in Atlanta... back in
1988... I asked the question... what does it take to run 200mph at
Bonneville... Today I know the answer... and it's not pure money.... it's
got alot to do with combinations and LUCK... My respect for Donald Healey
and what he accomplished has never been higher..
