Man, Frank, I've been there too. Those pull the trigger soldering guns
always trip on me just as they get hot. Buy one from Radio Shack that you
plug in and wait to get hot. I bought a dual temp one and it will melt and
solder wires. Can't help with the power tools - a brace has always worked
for me though.
