The Perseid meteor shower has been gracing us for several millennia. The
earliest recorded reports date back to 36 AD.
The annual late summer shower is the best of the year and viewing will be
best before dawn on the 12th this year. Our friends on the other side of
the globe will have the best viewing as "peak" is around 10AM EDT.
