Thanks - very good explanation. I went out and
measured the coil resistance - 3.5 Ohms. The Crane
documentation talks about the recommended max current,
4.5 amps, with an internal current limit of 7a. So it
looks like the coil should be OK (Paul A.'s experience
supports that). Unfortunately, the tech support of
both Bosch and Crane consisted of a guy reading the
same webpages I was able to look at!
