In theory, you are correct. In practise, however, you will not find the
"superior observation" without also finding a higher CG. Driving in snow IS
performance driving, Cap'n. You are dealing with the limits of traction,
braking, acceleration, cornering... Yes, it is slower than Road America, but
a lower CG still makes a lot of difference out there. The SAVs cannot
achieve the performance on a snowy road that a decently balanced FWD with a
clutch can.
