I will be needing a bit of painting on my LBC's this winter. I admit to
knowing diddly about painting. My questions are: What kind of spray gun
should I use? I will be painting in my garage -- not exactly a professional
spray booth -- should I use an HVLP gun vs a regular spray gun? Am I better
off, in the long run, buying good equipment and doing it myself or paying a
pro to do it for me? My background on the subject is non-existant. I prefer
to learn to do most of the work myself, but am not so egocentric that I need
to say I did it all. I am not necessarily looking for a show winning finish,
but don't want to be embarrassed by it either. Which is the smart way to go?
Money is not the biggest factor, but neither is the vanity of saying I did it
myself.

Whatcha think guys? Can I possibly be more noncommital?
