Hi Frank,

How thick is 24 gauge metal?  I don't have my charts handy, they are at work.

My BE is lately having the same problem.  The doors won't close.  It looks to 
me like the moving pin is out too far.  The Post looks like it is aligned with 
the hole, but i don't have any plates under the striker post.
