Winter Storage L.B.C.

Someone in our city hall must have shares in a salt mine, if there is a hint
of snow or freezing rain, the roads are covered thick with road salt. We get
salt chips on our paint and windshields, not stone chips, its that bad.
This seems to go from mid December to March, it is hard on your daily driver
let along an L.B.C.

So when I do store my Sprite, I put the car on jack stands, all weight off the
suspension. I use little wooden blocks under the front shock arms so the
rebound rubbers are not flattened.
I do an oil and filter change, I then chop up several apples, put them in a
paper bag and leave them inside the car, this gets rid of any odours.

When spring rolls around, I run the car for a half hour, change the oil and
filter, and I'm good to go.

I have been doing this for 32 years with this car and have had no problems.
Oil and filters are cheap, and I have peace of mind.

Thanks to Cap'n Bob, David Lieb and the other list members for your input on
the fuel stabilizer issue.
