Hi Jim,

The plate should be 3/8" thick, and if the one you have is that thick, most
will have the part number cast into it a bit below the oil pump cover hole.
Something like 12G156.

  Sooooo.....   What is the proper thickness of the backing plate on the 1275
engine, and where do I get the proper one and the proper oil pump cover and
gaskets if I have the too thin plate for the smaller displacement engine??
