It was true when the cars were new. Natural rubber parts or something 
like that. New seals (not nos seals) are probably made with modern 
rubbers and can hold up to DOT3 but I don't take a chance.
DOT4 (Castrol) in some and DOT5 silicone in others. I like the DOT5 best 
but you can only use it on a complete rebuilt system.
