Do you have the donut gasket? It does NOT take the copper triangel, 
that's for 1500s and Spitfires.
Also use a jack under the pipe when you offer it up, this keeps it tight 
to the manifold.
Since most of the time the studs are gone or stripped out, I usually 
drill thru and use bolts. (new stainless with lock washers)
It's easier to tighten them from the top of the car but bottom of the 
flange with a 1/4" drive and a deep well socket. That triangle hole in 
the frame rail is so you can get a wrench in there.
