Horrible Freight... you definitely have to correctly set your expectations.

A while back, I posted the link to Grizzly Industrial at

http://www.grizzly.com/

And "Blunt Head Trauma" responded with "Chinese".

Well, duh... no kidding.

The amount of US tools you buy almost anywhere is Chinese origin. Even
things labeled "made in USA"... are often source from China, as the laws
allow foreign sourced product to be labeled that way if a % of the value is
added in the states (like paint, parts, assembly, or labeling...).

Grizzly doesn't have a lot of hand tools, etc. But they do seem to import
things of sufficient quality. In fact, most of the "fabrication" shows on
tv, the American Chopper, and others similar use Grizzy metal fabrication
tools like shears & presses for their smaller industrial tool stuff. Also,
their woodworking tools are used by most of the American guitar
manufacturers. Their catalog is free, and worth having.

Another company (used to be called "Northern Hyraulics"...now
"Northern Tool & Equipment" http://www.northerntool.com/ has stuff that is
usually a step above Horrible Freight. Their catalog is free as well, and
worth having.

David, what do I say about chinese stuff and moving parts?
Folding table legs MOVE. (or are supposed to)
And the proper way to "clarici" something is to go back where you bought
it and put it thru the front window.
Tomorrow I reposess the stairs to a deck I built back in August because
I have not been paid. Owner says I can't do that, I say who's gonna stop
me? If he causes a stink, I will just forget what gear the truck is in
and hit the support post and he has a big mess.
