I added #4 after a quick check of mapquest. Its definitely the northern route
for me. Then I read:

"The fact that he drove to the 'cluster in the
Morris woodie demonstrates he does not always do
things based on logic or comfort. The smart bet has
him driving both ways in the Sprite"

and there was a slight stirring... just above the chair cushion. What could
this be?!? Were they back? Give me a moment while I abandon the keyboard
.............................................................................
.....

AAAAGGGHHH!

I'll driving both ways with a confirmed reservation (probably in Ron's name)
for a Kansas City U-Haul truck hidden deep in my wallet. I once drove an MGB
from LA to Seattle non-stop for a friend, and nobody died as I recall. Close,
maybe, but what the heck.

1.. Seattle -> Vegas -> Lake of the Ozarks = 2736 miles. This route takes
you down through Boise, ID Salt Lake City and then back to Vegas.
    2.. Seattle -> Bakersfield, CA -> Vegas -> Lake of the Ozarks = 2834
miles.
3.. Seattle -> Lake of the Ozarks = 2021 miles. This route takes you
Boise, ID Salt Lake City then east on 80 to Lincoln Nebraska.
4.. Davis,CA->Kansas City=1735 miles this route takes you safely past the
casinos of Tahoe and through Crash's backyard, past the front door of the
cathouses of Elko and through that party town of party towns, salt Lake City.
Then a get aquainted session with the temp guage and the Rockies followed by a
very long period of a possibly criminal level of caffeine abuse.
