I live in Long Beach and I've never heard that one. But in my youth when I was
an ambulance driver I
did 3 laps Lights and Siren before exiting. (it just one of those things that
hade to bee done)

There is one in long beach, ca - Rumor has it - The designer died on the circle
and his son did to
years later. Not sure if it is true or not.

Unless you have been condemned to live in the Chicago area where there are
only three or four of them, of which only one ever sees any traffic. It is,
therefore, known as "Suicide Circle" and can be considered a textbook
example of how NOT to build a traffic circle. Start with a circle that is
too small, then place a stop sign at each of the six entrances, two of which
are 2-lane roads, the other four are 4-lane roads. At any given moment, at
least two of the people at the entrances have no idea what this thing is. No
one has figured out what the inside lane is for, since it is such a small
circle. It would be funny if it were not so pathetic.
