That I do know as we heat our home with a cast iron wood insert, my thought 
was to put a 30gal barrel inside this one and fill it with masonary sand or 
about 1/2 or so, as It would have some mass at that point, so the fire would 
burn on the inner barrel and then go to the chimney.  Make sense?  I have a 
propane heater that heats the area you are working in VERY well, this kit 
was on sale so thought humm why not try it.
