If you clamp your work into a vice at the end of the bench where you
keep you waste can, you will discover that old oil filter inserts will
burn with a nice yellow flame and quite a bit of black, sooty smoke that
you don't notice...because your head is inside that darth vader thing.

.. and if you smell something like burning wood...  check your socks,
they smell like that when welding catches them on fire.  Yeah, I know
for certain..
