Subject: Bubbles in glass and trim?

Guys,

Forget the windshield, happens often on the less expensive ones, and =
sometimes on the better ones, call Rick @ Sunbeam Specialties don't get =
a tummy ache over it..

Have a great weekend...

See Ya' Jan
To Tiger Experts,
        Have two questions:
    1. The windshield on my TigerII is beginning to get bubbles
in the middle. There is no crack or pit in the glass at these points.
It appears that the bubble is in the plastic sheet between the glass.
The bubbles are approching 1/4 inch in dia now. The glass is a
replacement windshield from England that I got about 20 years ago.
Has anyone else had this problem or a solution?
    2. The crome plated trim plate under my vent window
broke. When I started to replace it, I noticed that other Tiger
and Alpine trim pieces were about 1/2 inch thinner than my
original piece. I looked in the Roots Tiger supplement and saw
both versions were represented on the drawing; but no explination
of why. My Tiger II came with a vinel covered foam pad at=20
the top of the inside of the door, just under the side windows.
Is this one of the indications of the "GT" version of the Tiger?
Do all Tigers come with the Upper Door Padding? For a long
time I assumed that the thicker Crome trim piece was one of the
differences between a Tiger and an Alpine, but the Roots Tiger
Parts List Supplement No: 6601131 shows both for the Tiger.
This document is for Sunbeam"260" Chassis starting B9470001
. It does not have the Tiger II parts list. If anyone has the
similar manual for a Tiger II, I would be interested in it or a copy.
