Yes. Triumph.

Seriously, it sounds like an interesting idea, although many would blanch
at the prospect of someone cutting up a "perfectly good" hardtop.

The technology for cutting through a metal roof and reattaching it must be
similar to what is done in the mini-truck community, where kits are sold to
cut off the roof, making a roadster-pickup. The roof can then be reattached
for poor weather. Resaerch starting with a copy of MiniTruckin' magazine
may get you started.

If you're ambitious, try making a Sunbeam version of the Ford Skyliner with
a power retractable hard roof (also done on 1930's Peugeots, and some
recent Mitsubishis). If you do, make sure you use British hydraulics, so it
will leak.
