Karen,

Couldn't agree more.  Even if Steve Sage is moving and can't read this e-mail, 
he
has heard it before, and doesn't care to give a response, other than "it's too
complicated to make changes, everybody pays for everything, whether they do or 
do
not make use of it."   Now it is obvious that there are indirect costs not
apparent to everybody.  The Hotel may want a surcharge for feeding us.  Maybe 
they
charge for parking lot use for autocross or concour.  Somebody has to pay for 
the
trophies, entrants or no.  BUT, a simple dinner request shouldn't end up in
highway robbery.  I feel as Karen does, and may not participate in box lunches 
and
dinners, even though I paid the entry fee, as a protest to the inflexibility of 
my
own club.  Can you imagine what they'd want for Sunday nght dinner for your
visiting freinds?
