Precisely the point. Even if it did not merit the status of a cover
story, wouldn't a 350+ HP Tiger's published 0-60 MPH and quarter mile
times gain immediate attention for what these diminutive, 2500 pound
pocket rockets are capable of? Particularly when equiped with the
suspension and tire improvements available today.

My trailer towed, engineless BRG Tiger certainly didn't go without
frequent notice and comments on my last move from Cadillac, MI to
Indianapolis. There is possibly an unknown plethora of admirers out
there that want to know more about the car in its ENHANCED state. The
fact that magazines can't get that image presented is possibly more
their failure and ours for not devoting the effort to publicize it.
(Roll into a Mid-western gas station sometime with a cocophony of the
11:1 compression and radical valve gear ringing out header tones and the
results will be tremendously evident on surronding observers' facial
expressions. They can't believe anything that small can contain that
much engine.)

However, there is no denying that money and sales hype talks louder than
a few owners of old LBCs. What could develop from coat-tailing on the
Shelby organization may well depend on what they have to gain from it.
This is not to question methods but to ask what if.
