   Well, I hope you have better luck than some other Mac owners
   out there, they're apparently having trouble reading the file.
   Can't help them 'cause I don't know anything about Apple
   products, having converted to the dark side years ago...

Kevin,

(or is it Darth)

Apple can indeed read the Microsoft Windows ".avi" movies. Mac users
must update their QuickTime to the 3.0 version. This is a FREE
upgrade available at:

<http://www.apple.com/quicktime/>

 and it also upgrades Movie Player, QT Sound, VR, PowerPlug, Musical
Instruments, MPEG Extension, and QuickTime VR, and
QuickTime 3D at the same time.

A "Pro" version, for authoring, is available for a small fee.

QuickTime has been accepted as the industry standard for movies and even
Gates is swinging MicroSoft's OS around to it.

User's must put the new Plug-in in their Netscape (or other) browser and
reboot for it to be active. You may have to "select" it in your
"Helpers" preferences, depending upon browser.
