Chris,

Assuming by front clip you include all the sheet metal back to the =
doors...

I know early series Alpines have round turn signals and early Alpines =
and Tigers have lettering over the grill opening that later cars don't =
but these things could be overcome. I also know that there are evolving =
versions of the radiator bulkhead. The radiator bulkhead on early =
Alpines are quite a bit different than later series Alpines and Tigers. =
There are at least two more versions of the radiator bulkhead from =
series IV Alpine/MKI Tiger on. I also noted subtle differences in the =
way the sheet metal inside and at the edges of the grill opening are =
formed through the years, I think I've seen two different versions of =
this. Also early Alpines had lead in the rocker seams and Tigers and =
later Alpines do not. Later Tigers and alpines don't have lead in the =
cowl to fender seams. I know Series V Alpines and (I think) MKII Tigers =
have brackets for a oil cooler behind the front valance. Then there is =
square corner hood and doors vs. round corner. And also the obvious =
(and not so obvious) differences between Tiger and Alpine engine =
compartments.

I probably forgot some I know of and there are surely more I don't know =
about.=20

Good luck!

What series alpines front clips are compatible and proper with a MK1a
tiger? I would suspect all but I don't know for sure.

Thanks,
Chris
