Dan,
It is my understanding, from TREMEC, that they have acquired all the
tooling and rights from Borg Warner when Borg was through with this
design. Apparently, as I was told on this list, the same thing as
happened between Ford and TREMEC with the Top Loader. My
understanding is that they make a quality product. But the design is
the key, and the torque capacity pecking order is Top Loader, TREMEC
TKO, TREMEC regular flavor, T-5 "World Class", and lowest on the pole,
T-5.
