Strange noise

To all:
I've come up with a problem I hope someone out there can solve. Occasionally
(usually when my Tiger is up to running temp)I hear a strange squealling
sound when I begin to let out the clutch. It almost sounds like a binding
brake, or a radiator cap just starting to vent pressure. The sound is
intermittent and does not seem to affect the operation of the clutch itself.
But the sound is terrifying. The clutch is newish (5k miles) and has not
been abused. Any suggestions?
