Yeah, I'd hate to look like my picture too :)

The Tiger has a different rad than the Alpine - it should, anyway.
I emailed Scott the cooling summary I posted last February, but I'll add the
following bits:

My Tiger "normal" gauge indication (which is probably not the same as the actual
temperature) is 200 to 210 degrees, using a 180 degree thermostat. It was there
on the drive down to Suni in the rain, and it was there at the autocross,
waiting in line. The only time it ran higher than that was in Yellowstone. It
crept up to about 225, and then I turned on the heater. Within a few minutes,
the temperature was back down to 210 on the gauge.
If your heater is in good condition (that means the core, and the blower motor,
and the ducting), it will remove an amazing amount of heat from the engine. An
oil cooler can help remove engine heat but you have to locate the cooler
somewhere so it doesn't block the radiator air flow, or else you're just passing
the problem along.
If your car only heats up while sitting in traffic, then the problem has to do
with the fan and shroud, not the radiator itself. It takes very little power to
idle the car, so the heat generated while sitting still is a small fraction of
what's generated while you're driving. Make sure that you have a good fan (five
or six blade metal fan, and/or a good electric fan, with a good fitting shroud).

Hope this helps,
