Joe,

Certainly, you are entitled to your opinion....but just a few additional
thoughts of my own:

Well, everbody has jumped on my suggestion that slicing up a Mark II tiger
to shoehorn a huge(er) engine into it "borders on the criminal", so I would
like to retract it and clarify my intent.

To hack up a rare and unusual car simply to see just how big an engine you
can fit into at the very least shows an incredible lack of imagination. If
you want pursue that approach, might I suggest mounting a hemi in the back
seat of a Volkswagen beetle? the result will certainly be at least as
"awesome", and they are still making beetles.

Believe it or not, I have seen a Hemi in the back of a VW Beetle. It was
amazing. Would I do it? No. But I certainly appreciated the engineering
challenges.

Some have suggested that it is an an egineering challenge, and as such is a
worthwhile effort. I submit that there is no more "engineering" involved
than seeing how many pink plastic flamingoes you can cram into your front
yard.

Joe

Well, I also once drove and considered buying a TR4 with a 427 in it with a
blower on top. The only real problem I had with it was the shifter location
and the fact that I could not steer because it spent most of it's time on
the wheely bars on the back of the car.

Would I do what Jim did to his car? Probably not. I can however,
appreciate the work and experimenting that went into it.

You are entitled to your opinion and I respect that as I am sure Jim does.
The fact remains: it IS his car, rare or not.

IMHO....and no, I DON'T like pink fake flamingos on ANYONE's front yard.

Regards,

Allan
